Is this still valid? The position etc and the base camp? Looks like a great idea, just wondering if all this has come to fruition.

Putting that sentence back into the perspective it came out of (the couch info of his profile): what he is saying is that for a couchsurfer it is not a very good place to hang out in, since everyone is working during the day.

I might have misunderstood the general manager here, but to me it seems a bit weird that the “home and office space to house fifteen full-time volunteers and staff” is “not a good place to hang out during the day”.
