His did a great job!! Mission accomplished. He didn't care if he made or lose friends as he knew he was there was a few months . He's most probably also still part of the leadership team's discussions as "consultant" or "observer" of sorts. He's possibly also still on the developers' mailing list (I've read a goodbye letter from him on the dev list while I was still there, but maybe he wasn't kicked out as brutally as I was) - and I'd guess he still plays some role in reviewing the new applicants to the tech team.
